Former Formula 1 world champion and British Formula 1 legend Nigel Mansell is back to driving his championship-winning car after 32 long years. But what is the big issue here is the champion has grown very big as he doesn't fit in his car.

The 1992 Formula 1 world champion is now 71 years old and he was in his prime when driving against Formula 1 legends like Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna, and Michael Schumacher. Over his 15 years in Formula 1 racing he raced for Lotus, Williams, Ferrari and McLaren.

He is the second most successful British Formula 1 driver of all time only next to 7-time world champion Lewis Hamilton. He is the eighth-highest race winner with 31 wins in his entire career. Mansell has returned to Formula 1 only to reunite with his old Williams team crew. The 1992 season was the only season Mansell won the Formula 1 world championship. He won the F1 championship for the Williams-Renault F1 team.

Forgot how to drive

Now after 32 years, he is back to drive his Formula 1 car with which he won his title. The hilarious thing here is the champion won’t fit in his car as he has now grown much bigger than during his racing days. He even forgot how to drive the car as the mechanics taught him the basics before driving the car. He carried Ayrton Senna in the same car during the 1991 British Grand Prix after Senna's car failed midway.

But after sitting inside his car the champion appreciates the feel of the seat and cushioning for his head. He also opened up about old F1 cars and new ones which he feels the old ones are more exposed without any protection. He also thanked the team for allowing him to drive his car bringing back all his memories with his car. And he also felt very proud of it. Nigel Mansell was the most successful driver which Britain had until Lewis Hamilton came into the sport and broke all his records.
