Decoding Ferrari’s hidden message to Lewis Hamilton: What's behind the 8th door?

The Internet and social media were set ablaze as Lewis Hamilton entered the Maranello Factory in Italy. The legendary Formula 1 driver, for the first time in his life, is set to drive for Ferrari, and he also reunites with Fred Vasseur, his former boss. 

The 7-time world champion wants to win his 8th driver's championship that was taken away from him in the 2021 F1 season. He tried for the 2022, 2023, and 2024 seasons but couldn't win it back with Mercedes. So the British driver decided to leave Mercedes and join Ferrari for the 2025 season and beyond on a multi-year deal. Lewis Hamilton sees Ferrari as the only other team that has the capability of winning the championship.

There he also got Fred Vasseur as the team principal. Fred was Hamilton’s former boss who guided him into Formula 1 during his early GP2 racing career. The stage is all set for Lewis Hamilton to win his 8th championship with Ferrari. 

The Tifosi are so happy to see the F1 legend in their home country. They came in huge numbers to welcome the former world champion in Maranello and Hamilton even met the fans. Ferrari has officially posted it on their social media pages.

The picture shows Hamilton standing before the main doors of the Maranello house of Enzo Ferrari with a Ferrari F40 car. But that wasn't it, as a Reddit user found a hidden message Ferrari was trying to convey to Lewis Hamilton. If you carefully look at the picture, you can understand.

The picture has 7 windows with a main door and Lewis standing before with a Ferrari F40. The user says those 7 windows are Hamilton’s 7 world titles, which he already won with McLaren and Mercedes. The main door is the way to his 8th world title with Ferrari. The social media team of the Maranello squad should be given an award or a hike if the user's perception of the picture is indeed the actual meaning they intended to convey to Lewis.

Hamilton’s onboarding will go on for a week, where he will visit many places in Maranello and learn more about the team. His first track testing will happen on 22/01/2025. Ferrari hopes to break their jinx with Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc this year.
