The Formula 3 Sprint race winner, Nikola Tsolov, recreated one of the iconic celebrations in the 2025 Bahrain Grand Prix. Fernando Alonso is the oldest F1 driver on the grid. The two-time world champion was in his prime during the 2005 and 2006 F1 seasons. To make it clear, he is the one who ended the great Michael Schumacher’s reign in Formula 1. If it was not for Fernando, then Schumacher would have won nine world titles by now. He won back-to-back F1 titles in 2005 and 2006, and then Schumacher retired from F1.

During the 2006 season, Fernando Alonso was fighting both Michael Schumacher and Kimi Raikkonen for the championship. In Canada, Alonso was qualified as the fastest ahead of Fischella and Raikkonen. The then-seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher qualified fifth behind Trulli.

Renault was the fastest car then, and with Alonso and Fischella, they were the team to beat. Kimi Raikkonen leaped ahead of Alonso’s teammate on the opening lap and was constantly attacking Alonso throughout the race. But during the pit stop, disaster happened as the rear right wheel didn’t stick well, so he lost 5 seconds to Alonso. Kimi was also overtaken by Schumacher and the race finished with the three legends Fernando Alonso, Michael Schumacher and Kimi Raikkonen on Podiums.

Bird celebration recreated afte two decades

After winning the race, Fernando did a quirky celebration resembling a flying bird. After two decades, Nikola recreated the same celebration, paying tribute to his manager Alonso after winning the Sprint race in 2025 F3 Bahrain GP. Alonso is known for his unique celebrations on podiums. Each time Fernando wins a race, he does some unique celebrations, and one of the most loved was the rabbit. Now, the bird celebration is going viral and many fans wish the young rookie to become successful like his racing manager.

The Aston Martin driver will be seen at the 2025 F1 Bahrain Grand prix, where he will be starting from the second row. Alonso is looking to win his third F1 title next year with the current F1 engine regulations changing. Honda will power the Aston Martin, and Adrian Newey will be their designer.
