Motogp legend Marc Marquez is a huge fan of FC Barcelona's famous football club. The six-time world champion hails from Catalunya and is a proud supporter of his home club. He competed in the French Grand Prix and won the sprint race and finished second in the main race. Marquez is now leading the championship and is battling against his brother, Alex Marquez, and teammate Francesco Bagnaia.

Apart from MotoGP racing, he loves Football more than anything in the world. Even during the El Clásico match between Real Madrid and Barcelona, Marquez was having a telephone battle with Formula 1 driver Carlos Sainz, a Real Madrid supporter. Now, after finishing the LeMans GP, Marquez was there for the team meeting.

His Ducati Corse team boss, Gigi Dall'Igna, is Italian and a big Inter Milan team supporter. Barcelona and Inter Milan are battling for the final spot in the UEFA Champions League 2025. As a Spaniard, Marquez is giving his heart to Barcelona, and as an Italian, Dalligna shows support to Inter Milan.

So, before the team meeting, Marquez wanted to start a battle with his team boss on who would win the semi-finals. As DalIgna was arriving for the meeting, Marquez said, “Let's talk about Football.” The Italian answered, “I’ll give you the same answer.” Marc replied, “The fastest and the strongest do not always win. Like in Jerez.”

But unfortunately, Marc Marquez lost this time as Barcelona lost the semi-finals against Inter Milan. The first leg between the two teams ended in a draw, making the second leg the decider game. Barcelona fought hard, but Inter Milan was too good and scored one extra goal and booked their berth in the finals of the 2025 UEFA Champions League. Like Marquez said, the fastest and strongest don't always win.

The next MotoGP race will be in Silverstone, another historic race track with fast corners, and Ducati needs to come stronger as their winning streak was broken by Honda’s Johann Zarco in Le Mans. The French rider made history by winning the French Grand Prix after 72 years. This is considered one of the greatest victories in MotoGP history.
