The Arrival of Lewis Hamilton to the Ferrari team pushed sainz out of the equation, and after hard negotiations, he landed a deal with the Williams Team. Sainz now became the face of the team with the fastest lap times during the Bahrain Pre-Season testing.

But can he continue his good form and help Williams Racing become the fastest mid-field team and win them podiums? We should wait a few more days to see it live at the 2025 Australian Grand Prix. However, a heartfelt incident happened during the Bahrain pre-Season Test.

Carlos Sainz thanks the reporter

Carlos Sainz was called for an interview, and during that interview, he talked about his position as a Williams driver. Sainz said, “I hope that even if I’m not a Ferrari driver this year, you come to interview me.” The reporter was dazzled by that and said, “What are you saying?”

In reply, Sainz said, “I saw that already for the moment you are. You are still taking me into consideration.” The reporter said, “Exactly! You have to give us the opportunity, dear Carlos.” The Spanish driver said, “I am sure that Dominique (his PR officer) is here... I already told her that she must give Sky Sport Italy... how do you say it? The space.” Mara ended the conversation by saying, “Perfect. We'll always be happy to give you the space you deserve.”

She also mentioned that Carlos Sainz is one of her favourite drivers on the grid. Williams Racing signed Carlos in place of Franco Colapinto last year. Williams is looking to revive themselves into a top F1 team with the help of Sainz and the knowledge he gained as a Ferrari driver.
