The 2023 season was one of the best seasons in Formula 1, where the Red Bull Racing team and Max Verstappen dominated the entire grid by themselves. Only Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz are the other drivers who won a race that season.

Sergio won in Saudi Arabia while Carlos Sainz won the race in Singapore. Max Verstappen won 19 out of 21 races and clinched his third F1 title. But in Italy, it was a different story as Sainz surprised everyone with a pole finish after the qualifying.

But again, Max was too good in racing and won the Italian Grand Prix in Monza alongside his teammate Sergio Perez, who finished second. Carlos Sainz also ended up on the podium, claiming Third place.

Carlos Sainz wasn't happy with the results, and to make it worse, he faced another nightmare post-race. After just one hour, he was targeted by thieves outside the Armani Hotel in Milan, where he stayed. Around 8:30 PM, a thief approached Sainz to take a selfie.

He immediately grabbed Sainz’s hand and stole his $ 500,000 worth Richard Mille watch. But the Spanish racing driver immediately ran after them and chased them. Sainz managed to catch the thief who had his watch, and the police immediately reached the spot and took custody of the thief.

The video clearly shows the struggle Carlos faced while trying to catch the thief. He was breathing heavily after running hard. Many F1 drivers are targeted by thieves across the globe for their valuable collections. A similar incident happened in 2022 for Sainz’s former Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc.

His Richard Mille watch was stolen by a group of four, and the Monegasque driver chased them on his Ferrari. The watch was later recovered using the GPS technology, and the watch was later recovered.
