- Victor Martins and Alex Dunne crash on the opening corner.
- F2 feature race in Monaco GP ended under safety car.
- Jack Crawford won the race.
The Formula 2 feature race started in the Monaco GP with a massive crash at the first corner, leading to the exit of seven F2 drivers. The first corner in Monaco is always tricky and tight, the young F2 drivers piled up in line to take the lead.
But unfortunately, a contact between Victor Martins and McLaren junior driver Alex Dunne has caused a chain reaction, leading to cars getting piled up over one another. It is chaos in Monte Carlo as the race marshals had to intervene and clean the debris.
The organisers called for an immediate red flag as the cars that survived the crash returned to their garage and waited for the race to restart. Victor Martins, Alex Dunne, Richard Verschoor, Gabriele Mini, Ritomo Miyata, Pepe Marti, and Max Esterson won't participate in the restart as their cars are un-repairable.

Alex Dunne was the pole sitter and got a good launch at the start. His rival Victor Martins also had a good launch and was ahead of Dunne in the first corner. Martins was well ahead of Dunne, but while trying to cut the first corner, Alex Dunne collided straight into Victor Martins, ramming him into the barrier. This also started a chain reaction.
A load of drivers who followed them didn't expect a collision in the opening lap. All crashed one behind another, and we can see some drivers escaping while cars are getting piled up behind. This turn 1 incident is unexpected as it stopped the race, and it took them several minutes to light the green signal again.
Only 11 cars made it to the restart, and again, there were several crashes. The organisers decided not to restart the race, and it ended with a safety car. Finally, Jack Crawford won the race, and he called it his luckiest day of his life. The next race will be the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix, which will start in a few hours.
