Kevin Magnussen the outgoing Haas F1 team driver was often known as a bad boy in Formula 1 as he goes aggressively against other drivers and causing collisions. There is one untold story about Magnussen being the anchor for women empowerment in Motorsport. Now, because of his efforts and mentorship a 16-year-old girl named Alba Larsen will be racing in F1 Academy next year. The championship is only for women drivers.

Formula 1 drivers after having some success in the sport will turn into mentors for young drivers. Fernando Alonso and Mark Webber are also mentors to some junior drivers. Gabriel Bortoleto the Brazilian driver and 2025 Sauber driver was mentored by Alonso. Former Red Bull driver Mark Webber was also the mentor and manager of McLaren F1 driver Oscar Piastri. Many drivers take care of some of the best junior talents and they help them grow and reach the highest category in racing.

Magnussen 'The Man for Women Empowerment'

But Magnussen took a different path compared with his colleagues. He wanted woman empowerment in the Pinnacle of the sport and he chose the Danish Karting driver Alba Larsen and mentored her. Magnussen was a Denmark-based Formula 1 driver and in his country, the Danish Karting championship is the single biggest event for budding drivers. The Championship was completely male-dominated, and even then, Alba secured a fourth-place finish last year.

She didn't have proper resources compared with her male competitors but she shone bright on the big occasion with her pure driving skills. This got the attention of her fellow Countryman and Formula 1 driver Kevin Magnussen and he took care of her with sponsorship. The 16-year-old Alba Larsen will be the driver for the Tommy-Hilfiger team next year.

Magnussen even mentored her personally about driving and guided her throughout her journey to F1 Academy. Talking about Alba, the Danish driver said “She got everything to become a professional racing driver.” He is also very committed to her Racing journey. All credits should go to Magnussen and his pure heart for helping a talented women driver to reach the highest category in women's racing which is F1 Academy. Magnussen will be leaving a big legacy if she makes it to winning the Championship.
