Indian movie superstar Ajith Kumar has officially announced his Endurance racing team ‘Ajith Kumar Racing’ which will compete on the global stage with the actor himself driving along with three other racers. The actor and racer was very famous for movies in Tamil language. He is nicknamed ‘Thala’ officially the first one to be called before cricket Legend MS Dhoni by the people of Tamilnadu.
The actor previously tried Formula 4, the BMW Asia Championship and many other international events before having a big crash that forced him out of racing. He became a big superstar in Tamil Nadu earning millions and often compared with Thalapathy Vijay. But his passion for racing seems to be a never-ending love story and now he has officially started his racing team ‘Ajith Kumar Racing’.
India's only WEC racing team
It is the only official endurance racing team that will compete in global tournaments representing India. In Formula 1 ‘Force India’ represented the country from 2008 to 2018 F1 seasons. Now, the South Superstar has officially unveiled the racing team and drivers. Mahindra also has a Formula E team.
The official colour theme will be white and red with some yellow stripes. The official car will be a Porsche GT3 RS completely for his team. The price of the road car in India is 3.5 crores. The racing car's price will be even more than that as it needs to be customised with the latest gadgets and equipment. Porsche GT3 RS can go from 0-100KMPH in 3.2 seconds. It has a maximum power of 525 PS and could go up to a top speed of 296KMPH. It has a 4-litre engine and special Aerodynamic design which helps the car go like a bullet train.

Ajith Kumar and Fabian Duffieux will be the official racing drivers for the team, along with two other reserve drivers. The team will officially enter the 24-hour European series in the Porsche 992 GT3 category. They will also participate in the 24H Dubai 2025 championship.
The actor is officially doing two movies, Vidamuyarchi and Good, Bad and Ugly. After completing these two projects, he won't take up any new projects as he is training for the Racing series. He is doing training sessions in the Circuit de Barcelona- Catalunya in Spain. Let's wish them all the best for their future in the sport and bring glory to India.
