McLaren, Ferrari, and Red Bull Battle for F1 Constructors' Crown: What are the chances?

Max Verstappen won the 2024 Formula 1 driver championship for Red Bull in the Las Vegas GP. Winning the Constructors title for Red Bull will be very difficult for him as McLaren and Ferrari lead the title race ahead of Red Bull. The 2024 Formula 1 constructors title is still up for grabs with McLaren leading the title race with 608 points with a 24-point lead over Ferrari standing second with 584 points. Red Bull the reigning constructor's champions are pushed to third with 555 points.

Red Bull is lacking in the fight as the two Red Bull drivers are inconsistent. Only Max Verstappen is carrying the Austrian team on his shoulders every race. The other driver Sergio Perez is still struggling to score points with his car. He is more than 200 points behind his teammate Max Verstappen in the driver's title. 

On the other hand, McLaren and Ferrari are very consistent in scoring points, and their drivers are also very consistent in finishing within the top 5 and helping their teams. There are still 103 points left in the constructors championship and still, there are two rounds left until the end of the season.

McLaren chances are brighter

The British brand is leading Ferrari with 24 points. By the end of the Qatar Grand prix, they need to have a 45-point lead over Ferrari. Then Ferrari can only score 44 points in the final race which will be lesser than McLaren. In Qatar Grand Prix McLaren need to score 21 points more than Ferrari. If McLaren wins the race in Qatar, they need to keep Ferrari 20 points behind them. McLaren also needs to take care of Red Bull during the Qatar GP and they should finish ahead of the two rivals.

Ferrari can make a comeback

Ferrari should score the maximum points in Qatar which will be 59 including the sprint race. Then they would enter the Abu Dhabi race with a 35-point lead over McLaren if the latter scored nothing in Qatar. Then Ferrari has a chance to clinch their constructors title in Abu Dhabi.

Red Bull lost but still..

The Austrian team and the reigning constructors champions hope to win the title for the third time is very bleak. They are 59 points behind the title leaders and 29 points away from the Italians. They can come back to lead if they score 54 points by the end of this weekend. 

But they need McLaren and Ferrari to score only 24 points or less. This is unlikely to happen because McLaren and Ferrari are looking much stronger than the Red Bull team. Most Probably either Ferrari or McLaren could win this year's constructors title.
