Spanish Grand Prix 2024: Expert Odds and top Picks for Barcelona Grand Prix

After a round in North America, the Formula 1 caravan is set to come back to Europe for the 10th round of the ongoing season. The Paddock will be established in Barcelona for the Spanish Grand Prix 2024. After a high-octane race at the Canadian Grand Prix and a three-way fight between Red Bull, McLaren and Mercedes it will be an interesting fight in Barcelona. 

With Mercedes and McLaren set to bring some upgrades, it will be interesting to see if they can retain their speed and Montreal performance in Spain. The race will take place after a two-week-long gap which will also give Ferrari plenty of time to solve the persisting engine issues with Charles Leclerc’s car.

So, going ahead the odds for the upcoming event are out and as expected Max Verstappen is likely to win his third consecutive and fourth overall Spanish Grand Prix. He has to win odds between -165 to -190. The next best odds are for Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and McLaren’s Lando Norris who stay between +500 to +650 on different websites. 

Will Mercedes be able to stay competitive?

The Canadian Grand Prix was dominated by the Mercedes duo of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell. With an upgraded car and highly competitive performance, they finished third and fourth in Montreal. Despite that, according to various websites, the odds for a Mercedes win are very low.

Odds for George Russell stay between +1600 to +2500 while for Hamilton it stays between +1200 to +2500. Red Bull’s Sergio Perez with back-to-back poor performances in Monaco and Montreal will be keen to make a comeback. However, for his comeback odds are as high as +4000.
