As the 2024 Formula 1 season shifts gears from Azerbaijan to Singapore, teams and fans are bracing for one of the most physically demanding races on the calendar. The Marina Bay Street Circuit, known for its high humidity and nighttime spectacle, presents both technical and environmental challenges for drivers. The weather is always a significant factor, and this year's forecast offers a mix of conditions that could influence the outcome of the weekend.

Friday, September 20 – FP1 and FP2

The weekend will kick off with fair conditions, though a few light showers might appear during the first two practice sessions. Temperatures will remain on the higher side, with FP1 set at 30°C and FP2 dipping slightly to 29°C. Winds will be light to moderate from the south, adding little relief to the humid atmosphere.

Drivers and teams will also have to manage track conditions as the maximum temperature could climb to 33°C during the day. Despite a slight 20% chance of rain, teams are more likely to focus on optimizing their setups for the intense heat expected throughout the weekend.

Saturday, September 21 – FP3 and Qualifying

Saturday follows a similar trend but with an increased chance of showers that could disrupt both FP3 and the qualifying session. While the maximum temperature is expected to hit 32°C, and the minimum staying steady at 26°C, the real concern is the 40% chance of rain. This could make for a tricky qualifying session, as even light showers could dramatically affect tyre strategies and lap times on the tight, winding Marina Bay circuit.

Sunday, September 22 – Race Day

Race day brings the highest stakes, with partly cloudy skies and a moderate 40% chance of showers. While rain isn't guaranteed, the conditions could be unpredictable, potentially shaking up race strategies. Starting temperatures will hover around 29°C, with a light southerly wind, and the humidity will push both the drivers and their cars to their limits. Maximum temperatures for the day are forecast at 32°C, with the lowest expected at 27°C.
