Red Bull team principal Christian Horner could lose his job after the 2025 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. The rumours say Red Bull’s Thailand leadership, which holds 51 per cent of the energy drink brand's shares, is not happy with Horner leading the team.

The energy drink manufacturer's Formula 1 team are struggling with pace and balance in their cars, and there is only limited hope for them to win the championship again. The 2024 championship-winning team has won only one race so far this year.

Max Verstappen is the only difference between winning and losing. Without Verstappen, Red Bull team could be fighting somewhere in the midfield against Aston Martin, Alpine, and Williams Racing. So, the team leadership has to do something to change the progress of the team.

Dietrich Mateschitz (late Red Bull chairman) was the one who brought Horner into Red Bull Racing. His son, Mark Mateschitz, also backs Horner to be the team principal. But the company's other ownership group in Thailand doesn’t want Horner to stay in the team. Horner was meant to exit the team last year after he was caught in an allegation by a female employee at Red Bull Racing.

Who will replace Christian Horner at Red Bull?

There are many great candidates who could take up the role of Red Bull team principal. Former Alpine boss Oliver Oakes could be one of the potential faces for the team. Former VCARB team principal Franz Tost could also take up that role from Horner.

Oliver Oakes is now facing problems as his brother was recently arrested by British police over connections with Russians. But Franz Toast was with the Red Bull Junior team since the Toro Rosso days. He resigned after a disagreement with Horner over the misuse of the junior driver programme. He could be the best fit for the Red Bull team principal role, as he knows the team culture more than others.
