Mexican Formula 1 driver Sergio Perez was fired from the Red Bull F1 team after his year-long struggle driving the RB20 car. At the time of his sacking, many people joked and mocked Perez of his incompetence with the race machine as Max Verstappen won the 2024 title. But now things have changed, the fans and experts who mocked Perez are now praising the mexican for driving a lean machine all these years and scoring points consistently.

His replacement, Liam Lawson, couldn’t withstand the amount of pressure put on him as a Red Bull driver, as he was outpaced. Lawson was changed after just two races, and the more experienced Yuki Tsunoda brought some stability into the team. The Japanese driver is also struggling with the car, but somehow ends up within the points table.

Cadillac F1 board of directors Mario Andretti said, “All I can tell you is that he’s [Perez] certainly one of the drivers that’s being considered. He has to be. I cannot divulge as to where we are with any commitment whatsoever — I think we want to keep that luxury to ourselves until we feel that we have scanned the entire spectrum of availability. I think that’s a prudent thing to do.”

There are also many other drivers on the radar alongside Checo, like Valtteri Bottas, Mick Schumacher, Zhou Guanyu, and Logan Sargeant. We believe Checo will be one of those drivers, considering his experience and performance over the years. At last, he is from the American continent, and the team needs to show some of its American spirit.

If he gets the opportunity, it will be a chance to take his revenge against the team that didn't give him a chance. As of now, many predict that Red Bull will end up where Williams Racing is right now. With the new regulations kicking in, the drawing board will be erased and will start from 0. If Cadillac produces a good car for their drivers, then they can be very impactful from the start, like Brawn GP did back in 2009 and Mercedes in 2014.
