The Formula 2 race in Qatar is over, and Paul Aron emerged as the first-ever victor in the Losail International circuit. He was benefitted by the penalty Gabriel Bortoleto received during the feature race. Aron started on the pole but could not hold on to the pole position as the championship leader, Gabriel Bortoleto, charged him with some aggressive moves. The Invicta Racer was fighting for his title against Isack Hadjar, so he wanted some lead early on in the race. Unfortunately, he got a time penalty during the virtual safety car period, which helped him regain his lost position.

Aron's first win in F2

Aron was passed by Bortoleto in turn one and became the leader. Paul Aron battled Beganovic and Victor Martins in the back as Bortoleto led by more than a 6-second margin. Aron, having no pace in his car, stopped for pits. Then Kimi Antonelli and Verschoor collided, bringing the VSC. Bortoleto entered the Pit lane at the wrong time and was punished with a 5-second penalty.

It also cost the future Sauber driver another place against his title rival Hadjar who passed him and went P2. This also helped him to narrow the championship margin to just 0.5 points separating each other after the race. We still have one more race in Abu Dhabi, where the championship winner will be decided.

Aron, Hadjar and Bortoleto won the race in podium positions. O. Goethe finished 4th ahead of Beganovic and Mansell, who finished fifth and sixth. Cordell, Bennett and Maloney finished seventh, eighth and ninth places. R.Miyata, C.Shields,O.Bearman finished in 10th, 11th and 12th places. Baku winner R.Verschoor had a disappointing race and was 13th after the race ahead of J.Durksen, and Indian racer Kush Maini in 14th and 15th places.

The last three drivers are L. Browning, J.Marti and M.esterson. The Formula 2 champion is still unknown as Bortoleto and Hadjar were separated by just 0.5 points. With the race over in Qatar, we still have one more race in Abu dhabi which will be the title decider.
