Practice 3 F1 results, Las Vegas Grand Prix 2024

The third practice race of the Las Vegas Grand Prix 2024 was completed. Mercedes topped the race, thanks to a good show from George Russell. McLaren did well as Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris finished 2nd and 4th respectively. Red Bull struggled as the cool conditions did not help them to accelerate as well as they would have liked.

Mercedes took advantage of the cooler conditions as both George and Lewis Hamilton done well. Russell finished the race as the winner with a great timing of 1 hour, 33 minutes, and 0.570 seconds. Hamilton finished sixth with a good timing of 1 hour, 34 minutes, and 0.341 seconds. McLaren made inroads with a good race.

Oscar Piastri came second with a timing of 1 hour, 33 minutes, and 0.785 seconds. His teammate, Landon Norris, managed to have a good race despite not being able to finish in the pole position. His timing of 1 hour, 34 minutes, and 0.008 seconds helped him to finish 4th in the race.

Williams and Haas close in on the Top 10

Ferrari's Carlos Sainz did well as he finished the race in the third position with a good timing of 1 hour, 33 minutes, and 0.918 seconds. Max Verstappen did not have as good a race as he would have liked. He came fifth with a timing of 1 hour, 34 minutes, and 0.137 seconds.

Williams and Haas were the next best teams as they had two drivers within the top 11. For Williams, both Alex Albon and the emerging star Franco Colapinto finished in the top 10. While the former finished 7th with a timing of 1 hour, 34 minutes, and 0.407 seconds, the latter finished a position below him with a timing of 1 hour, 34 minutes, and 723 seconds.

For Haas, Kevin Magnussen finished 9th, while Nico Hulkenberg finished 11th. They had timings of 1 hour 34 minutes, 0.883 seconds, and 1 hour, 34 minutes, and 0.908 seconds respectively. Pierre Gasly finished 10th for Alpine with a timing of 1 hour, 34 minutes, and 0.905 seconds.
