Red Bull and Max Verstappen appeared to be unstoppable at the beginning of the year, but as the season went on, their rivals quickly closed in, and although the Dutchman managed to hold off the challenge to win his fourth World Championship, the battle for the Constructors' title went all the way to the end.

According to Tom Hutchings, Executive Producer at the show's Box to Box Films production company, "We're really excited for fans to watch the new season of Drive to Survive. The 2024 season was incredible both on and off the track, with the action well and truly underway before the first race in Bahrain. Expect more drama and fun from the paddock this season and a few surprises too,” he said.

The new Drive to Survive series will debut shortly before the 2025 season starts, with the Australian Grand Prix scheduled for March 14–16. F1 is currently televised in the US by ESPN; the agreement expires at the end of 2025. It was granted exclusivity over renewal talks under that deal, but it is believed that this term has now passed, making room for new players.

Nextflix eyeing for broadcasting rights

With a spike in interest via the sport's social media platforms in particular, the US has been one of Formula One's fastest-growing markets in recent years. Drive to Survive has been crucial in introducing the sport to new viewers, and Netflix has been a major contributor to that. On March 7, the upcoming Drive to Survive season will make its global streaming platform premiere. Other F1 programming, like as the most recent Senna series, is also available.

It's anticipated that the price of F1's broadcast rights in the US will still be far less than other agreements, including Amazon's USD 1 billion deal for Thursday night NFL games or Netflix's USD 5 billion deal for the ten-year rights to WWE Raw.
