The Spanish city of Valencia was heavily hit by a flood that almost devoured the city displacing people and damaging property. The city is yet to recover from the disaster. More than 200 people have lost their lives according to official numbers.

Many MotoGP riders and fans are praying for Valencia; even some riders took the Valencia flag and waved it around the circuit in Malaysia. But the MotoGP organiser Dorna is unwilling to pull out from Spain for the season's final round. The final race will happen in Barcelona instead of Valencia.

Spanish Venue for the final race

The Circuit de Barcelona- Catalunya will now host the final race of the thrilling MotoGP season on November 17th this month. The circuit already hosted the MotoGP Grand Prix back in May. This will be the second time the race will happen in Barcelona.

Qatar was said to be the host for the final race but the MotoGP leadership committee has now chosen Barcelona as the alternative venue for Valencia GP. The venue was chosen because many teams in Moto2 and Moto3 are on a tight budget and Spain could be a relief for them. Doha is the city that hosts the Qatar Grand Prix and this season's first race started eight months ago in March. Again going back to the venue will increase the expenses for some teams.

Barcelona is located 400 km from Valencia and it is the nearest circuit considering the final race. MotoGP organizers have already had meetings with the Catalunya government in Spain. In the next few hours, the people who bought tickets for Valencia GP will be dealt with according to the protocol.

After the final race official testing will be held on the same track for the 2025 season. The confirmation for the last race will be received within 48 hours and then the MotoGP riders will be confirmed about their final race. Today will be the Malaysian Grand Prix main race and Jorge Martin is on the verge of becoming the MotoGP world champion for the first time in his career. The reigning champion Bagnaia’s Crash during the sprint race has become too costly for him as his third title chance is now far away and he needs a miracle to win.
