The four-time Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen can easily win his 5th world title without even breaking a sweat, if everything happens according to his plans. As everyone knows, F1 is the world's toughest car racing competition, and winning a Grand Prix race is seen as the biggest thing here. Winning a world title against the world’s best car racers and that too multiple times is nearly a supernatural ability.

This is why we call F1 legends like Michael Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, Alain Prost, and Juan Manuel Fangio the greatest drivers of all time. Max Verstappen also become one of the all-time greats as he won the title four times in a row.

If he wins this year he will become the only driver after Michael to clinch the world championship five times in a row. He will also equal Juan Manuel Fangio’s record of five world titles. But, there is a big trouble lying ahead of him.

Stronger Rivals

The Red Bull driver's biggest rivals are McLaren and Ferrari drivers. In 2024, Red Bull was pushed to third place in team championship as McLaren and Ferrari surpassed the Austrian bulls in speed and performance. The four-time world champion would have lost his fourth F1 title if he hadn't had the fighting spirit and the mentality to win.

We expect their dominance to continue this year over Red Bull and Max needs to bring his A-game to every race at least to fight for the championship. Even then he can win the 5th world championship without breaking a sweat.

Three Reasons Max Verstappen can win his 5th title without sweat

1. Intra team battles

McLaren and Ferrari drivers will have intra team battles in F1 2025 season

Compared to Red Bull both McLaren and Ferrari have stronger driver pairs. Oscar Piastri has already mentioned that everything starts from zero and his world championship dream is on for this year. This is a direct war cry to Lando Norris, who fought with Max Verstappen for the F1 title and finished second. So first, Lando should dominate his teammate Oscar before bringing the fight to Max.

In Ferrari, we have Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc as 2025 drivers. They are the strongest and most experienced driver pair of the season. They are fierce competitors and have a big record for dominating their teammates. So, keeping them down is impossible for Ferrari and we may expect big drama as the season starts.

In Red Bull, Max Verstappen is the only big driver and his teammate Liam Lawson is less experienced and would not be a big trouble for Max to dominate him just like he did with his other teammates. He can easily beat them and concentrate on only winning the F1 title which keeps him mentally strong compared with his rivals.

2. Best in business

Without a doubt, Max Verstappen is the best driver in the Formula 1 2025 grid. He is the most consistent driver as he scores points and podiums regularly. In the 2024 season, he won the championship by keeping his consistency even though he didn’t win races for 10 consecutive Grand Prix. If he can repeat the same this year he can still defend his F1 championship with a third slowest car.

3. Red Bull is back to form

Red Bull can still comeback in 2025

The other two reasons depend on Max and his rivals, but what if Red Bull sorts all their issues and comes back to form? The Red Bulls are always known for their resilience and we can't keep them out of fight in any part of the season. In 2024, their biggest issue was the mismatch of aero performance on simulators and real-time tracks. They are working hard to repair those issues and even if it was an average machine that suits Max verstappen he can bring the difference and win the championship in 2025.
