Lewis Hamilton is one of the greatest drivers of all time and there is no doubt about that. From 2014 to 2020, the British driver dominated the Formula 1 grid entirely. Even his teammates Nico Rosberg and Valtteri Bottas couldn't match his success despite having the same car.
Though Nico Rosberg won the 2016 Formula 1 world title by a small margin and apart from that, every other title was won by Lewis Hamilton. Sebastian Vettel was the only guy who gave some competition to Lewis Hamilton with a Ferrari car.
Mercedes was very dominant during those 8 years from 2014 to 2021 as they won 8 constructors titles and 7 drivers title. Out of the 7 titles, Lewis Hamilton won 6 of them before Verstappen ended his reign in 2021 in the controversial Final race in Abu Dhabi. The 2020 Turkish Grand prix was a very special race for Lewis Hamilton as he won the race which is no surprise for us. But in the same race, he equalled the legendary Michael Schumacher by winning his 7th world title.

In Formula 1 Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton are the only two drivers who hold 7 drivers titles under their names. The 2020 Turkish Grand prix was very tough as it happened during the peak of the Covid 19 Pandemic and also the race track was very smooth even without the rain and drivers found no grip from the start.
Going to the race Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas are the only drivers in championship contention. But both of them couldn't secure pole position in qualifying as Lance Stroll of Racing Point surprised everyone by getting the pole with the fastest lap.
Lewis Hamilton started 6th during the race. The track was very smooth without any grip and to make it worse the track became wet after rain before the start. Due to the track, many drivers started on second gear for some grip and to avoid too much wheel spin except the two Honda-powered teams Red Bull and Alpha Tauri starting in first gear.

Verstappen paid the price as he dropped to 8th after starting from second as Racing points driver Sergio Perez moved to second. Again he started to gain positions after a pit stop. The Red Bulls and Racing Points were the only two teams that were faster than Ferrari and Mercedes during the race.
But Max Verstappen Spun in the middle of the race when trying to pass Sergio Perez giving the edge to Hamilton and Vettel who passed the Dutchman. Hamilton with the help of DRS passed Perez who is in the pole position after strolls pitstop fail. After that Hamilton was unstoppable as he completed the race by winning it with a 1.5-minute advantage over Sergio Perez who finished Second and third was Vettel who took advantage of his teammate Leclerc’s costly penultimate corner mistake.
The victory earned him the 7th world title equalling Michael Schumacher's record for championship victories. Post-race Vettel Praised Hamilton by saying “Every era has the greatest driver and in our era, Lewis is the greatest.” This was the last title won by Lewis Hamilton till today.
