The 2025 MotoGP Thailand Grand Prix is over, and we witnessed one of the most intense races of this year at the Buriram International Circuit between Marc Marquez and his brother Alex Marquez. MotoGP legend and 6-time world champion Marc Marquez started his 2025 campaign as a Ducati rider. This is also his first win in the opening race since the 2014 season. The Ducati rider has beaten his brother and teammate in Thailand and started his campaign with a win.
The Spanish rider is already the Sprint winner and leader of the points table. Today, he started the race perfectly but made a small error in the middle of the race that allowed Alex Marquez to take the lead. The two brothers then had an intense battle lasting more than 10 laps. Finally, Marc launched at Alex Marquez before the final corner and took the race lead.
With this win in Thailand, he equals his former teammate Dani Pedrosa’s 112 podiums in MotoGP and scripts his first MotoGP race win as a Ducati rider. Francesco Bagnaia was calm and composed, defending his third place against Morbidelli. He attempted to clinch the second place. But the Spaniard was too good defending his position. Throughout the race, the focus was completely on Marc and Alex, as they gave us one of the best races this year.
