Ducati driver Marc Marquez outqualifies his teammate and two-time world champion Francesco Bagnaia in his first-ever qualifying session with the Italian team. The six-time world champion is racing his first season for the Ducati Factory racing team after switching from Gresini Racing last year.
The Buriram International Circuit in Thailand will host this year's first MotoGP race. The qualifying session is over, and Spanish rider Marc Maquez claimed his first ever pole position for the Ducati Racing team. Marquez, one of the greatest riders in MotoGP, has been going on a rough patch since the 2019 season.
In the last 5 years, he was pushed to the back of the grid with many injuries and incompetent machines. But this year, Ducati is the most powerful and competitive bike. Many experts predict Marquez will win back and look to win his seventh MotoGP world title.
