Lewis Hamilton - Mercedes (Source: X)
Mercedes driver and 7-time world champion Lewis Hamilton has now admitted that he wants to leave the Mercedes team earlier than he wants because of the issues he is facing in the team. Hamilton had the most disastrous United States Grand Prix and Brazilian Grand Prix this year.
Hamilton is not having the best ending in the Mercedes F1 team after winning 6 world titles with them. Mercedes is stranded in the fourth position next to McLaren, Ferrari, and Red Bull in constructors which shows their current state. The Brit will join Ferrari next year to have some new motivation and a fresh start for winning his eighth world title next year. Ferrari is also very confident that in 2025 they will be challenging for the title with the right machine.
Mercedes is the reason
This year's only high for Lewis Hamilton is winning the British Grand Prix at Silverstone for one last time for the Mercedes team. That was also the end of his two-and-a-half-year victory drought. Now his frustration with the team has reached an all-time high after the Sao Paulo GP.
After finishing P10 in Brazil, Hamilton called that Brazilian weekend a disaster and that was the worst car he had ever driven, he also thanked the mechanics and race engineers for their continuous effort as he didn't know if that was the last time he would race for the Mercedes team.

“In the moment that’s how I felt, I didn’t really wanna come back after that weekend. But I think that’s only natural, it’s frustrating when you have a season like this – which I’m pretty sure I won’t have again.” pic.twitter.com/t7G9WRaIgs
Lewis Hamilton spoke during the Las Vegas GP and said, “I mean, in the moment that's how I felt like I didn't really want to come back after that weekend. But I think that’s only natural. It's frustrating when you have a season like this, which I’m pretty sure I won't have again, or at least I’ll work towards not having again.”
#LasVegasGP | Lewis Hamilton says he doesn’t feel like he needs to prove anything to Toto Wolff amid ‘shelf life’ comments:

“I think just me being here, standing tall, I feel strong, I’ve been training well. Honestly I feel like I’m in the best place I’ve been mentally and… pic.twitter.com/GQWz4J8HGt
He was also asked about his boss Toto Wolff's 'Shelf life' comments and the champion replied that he doesn't need to prove anything to anyone as he is standing tall and strong. The Mercedes driver now admitted that he would give his best for the team in his last three races. Hamilton is used to only winning and not losing. Even in his debut 2007 season as a rookie, he challenged for the title. From 2014 to 2021 he was the dominant winning machine.
In the 2021 final race in Abu Dhabi Lewis Hamilton was meant to be the world champion if not the race director allowed cars in front of Verstappen to un-lap themselves. Lewis is hoping to win his 8th title at Ferrari, and first for Ferrari since Kimi Raikkonen in 2007 which dates back two decades ago.
