Lando Norris got emotional on the phone as he spoke with the family members after winning his first major Grand Prix. The McLaren driver won the Miami Grand Prix 2024 and became the first British to do so in a long time. After claiming the win, the star racer was seen interacting with his family members on the phone. In the process, he got emotional.

While it is not sure with whom he was in conversation, Norris had a torn voice. In the conversation, the Miami winner can be seen replying with messages like "It finally paid off. Ah, it's good. It's good," as he got emotional. He then asked if they were scared and added that he was not scared himself. Lando claimed that he was okay as he listened to the message from his family.

The McLaren driver thanked his family and said that he loved them. The British driver then said "Thank you very much," as he got good support from the family. When asked to take care of himself, Norris said he would. With a smiling face, Norris bid adieu to his family on call and said he loved them. Lando hoped to speak with his family soon before saying goodbye. 

Impressive performance of Lando Norris in 2024

Ahead of the 2024 season, the 24-year-old signed a huge contract with McLaren. Since then, the racer has been on fire. In the Bahrain Grand Prix and the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, he showed glimpses of greatness by finishing 6th and 8th respectively. However, it was in the tours that followed later that he established himself as a top driver.

In the Australian Grand Prix, he started 3rd and finished 3rd respectively, which was his first maiden finish on the podium. In the Japanese Grand Prix, he finished 5th after starting 3rd, which was not great. in the last couple of tours, he has been phenomenal. In the Chinese Grand Prix, he finished second after starting 4th. At Miami, he claimed the win after starting fifth.
