UK's Prime Minister Rishi Sunak was seen playing a friendly game of cricket with the England cricket team. PM took guard against the pacer James Anderson which showed his love for cricket. He is extremely fond of cricket and has shared a lot of videos while playing the game. This time, he interacted with other players of the English team and played cricket with children as well. 

Moreover, the PM clicked pictures and signed gloves and balls for the upcoming cricketers. A video was uploaded by the PM which went viral on social media that showed him and the other English cricketers enjoying a friendly day out.

While having fun conversations with James Anderson, PM informed him that he had done enough preparations to face the pacer. Moreover, Anderson has played 187 Test matches and taken 700 wickets in his cricket career. Also, he has played 194 matches and taken 269 wickets. 

England to invest $44.35 million ahead of T20 World Cup matches in 2026

England's Prime Minister has recently announced that to support grassroots-level cricket and encourage young people to play more, they are investing around $44.35 million in constructing 16 all-weather domes in cities hosting T20 World Cup matches in 2026 and 2030. PM took to Twitter to inform everyone about this decision as he feels it's important for the young generation to be fit and engage in sports more often. 

"I love cricket, that’s no secret. So I’m pleased that today we can support even more young people to get into the game. We’re investing £35 million in grassroots cricket to help over 900,000 young people into playing cricket," tweeted Rishi Sunak.
