Jos Verstappen the former Formula 1 driver and Current world champion Max Verstappens's father unleashes his wrath at the British press after his son's historic Brazilian Grand Prix win in Sao Paulo. He wasted no time in throwing word grenades at the British media houses for being over-critical of the Red Bull driver, especially after the Mexican GP.
The Interlagos victory has made Verstappen the standout driver above all despite all the odds he faced during the weekend. He was out of the Qualifying 3 and had an engine penalty. So, he was pushed to P17 way lower than his title rival Lando Norris who started in pole position.
Verstappen unleashed the monster inside him and was flying on the track while others struggled due to huge rain and less grip. The Dutchman was in full swing from the beginning of the race and moved to the top 10 within 5 laps. The VSC gave him an advantage to move up the order to P2 only below race leader Esteban Ocon. He grabbed his chances during the restart went ahead of the Alpine driver and clinched the lead position.
The most incredible thing he did during the race was setting back-to-back fastest laps despite everyone struggling at the back end. In the end, Verstappen secured a historic win at the Interlagos circuit bringing back some memories of Senna to the home crowd. Now his fourth world title is very near.
After winning the race Verstappen arrived at the Winner's press conference and asked where are the British journalists. And took a cheeky dig by saying, “They have to run to the airport, or they don't know where the press conference is?” Many other journalists bursted out in Laughter and even Gasly supported Verstappen’s Question.
Elder Verstappen Throws Verbal Grenades at the British
Now it's time for the Father to unleash his wrath on the British media. Jos said, “This is Max’s Perfect answer to a lot of whining, and certainly in the direction of the English. Commentators, Journalists, and former drivers- they will keep their big mouths shut for now. Max has shown that he is the very best.
Those People who shout that he should change his driving style? His driving style is perfect! Also such a first lap in the rain, where he made up six places. He is always perfect in these conditions. He showed who is the best." The elder Verstappen said all the negative talks from the English media and people motivated his son. He added “They think they are taking him out of his good mood, but he will only get better because of it. I'm very proud of what he did. The whole world saw who is the very best.”
