Max Verstappen came out to the Brazilian Grand prix race at the Interlagos circuit with complete frustration and anger. There are many reasons for it first, he doesn't like losing and for the past 10 races, he didn't win. Second, people and media especially the British criticised his way of driving and third, he was denied a place in qualifying 3 after a controversial red flag by the race director.
All of these have changed him into a monster while driving at the rain-soaked Interlagos circuit in Brazil. He changed his engine before the weekend which brought him the engine penalty. It pushed him back to the 17th place and added to his frustration. But the three-time world champion had some grit to win no matter what happens in the race.
'How to Drive in Rain' by Max Verstappen
From the start, he overtook many cars in front of him and very quickly moved to the top ten places. Other drivers were struggling to overtake and they couldn't even keep their cars on the track. But Max Verstappen had some god-level grip in his car and together with his racing skills mastered the wet conditions at the Interlagos circuit.
Max Verstappen got a chance during the Virtual safety car restart after the Franco Colapinto crash. He took his bait and overtook Alpine’s Esteban Ocon who was leading the race and moved to the pole position. From there he was unstoppable as he smashed the fastest lap of the race record many times. Racing in rain is itself a skill and at a track like Interlagos which has many wide areas even a small mistake could push you out of the track.

But Verstappen didn't make any mistakes throughout the race and won comfortably. Many drivers like Lewis Hamilton, Nico Hulkenberg, and Charles Leclerc praised Verstappen for his racing skills in the worst-ever wet conditions. Hamilton praised Max verstappen that this was the best Brazilian Grand Prix and added that it was even better than his win at the 2021 Grand prix which had similar conditions.
Nico Hulkenberg said, "It was very tough for drivers to avoid mistakes and only verstappen can do it without any mistakes." Ferrari driver and rival Charles Leclerc praised the Dutchman more than his Red Bull car. He said, “Everyone knows Red Bull will have a good weekend but today it was Max Verstappen who made the difference and not Red Bull.”
