Indonesian GP Qualifying: Jorge Martin seals the pole position with an all-time lap record, Marc Marquez crashes out

Jorge Martin smashed the Pole record at the Indonesia GP with a lap time of 1.29.088s. He will now start in the front during the sprint race.

MotoGP is getting more exciting as the Indonesian GP is underway this weekend. Jorge Martin of the Prima Pramac racing has crushed the all-time lap record on the track with an incredible 1.29.088 minute Pole time. He will now start ahead of Marco Bezzecchi of the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing team in the Indonesian GP. Red Bull Gas Gas Tech3’s Pedro Acosta will start from third.

'The Martinator' in the lead

Jorge Martin dominated the complete qualifying session by setting high lap times ahead of everyone on the grid. Martin missed his pole win at the Emilia GP where he finished in 2nd after Bastianini's Controversial overtake pushed Martin out of the track. This time he is very determined to win the mandalika GP.  

Eight-time world champion Marc Marquez crashed twice during his qualifying session. He crashed during the opening and final sessions of the qualifying which are within 10 minutes. He will start outside the top 10 at 12th. Marc Marquez's crash has brought the yellow flag and the reigning world champion Francesco Bagnaia of the Ducati Lenovo team had to start his qualifying session again. He will be staring at 4th position ahead of his teammate Bastianini who will start fifth on the grid.

Yamaha’s Fabio Quartararo and Zarco are sixth and seventh. Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Teams Fabio di Giannantonio will start seventh ahead of Prima Pramac racing team Franco Morbidelli. Maverick Vinales of Aprilia Racing will start from the final spot of the front row in 10th. 

Raul Fernandez (Aprilia) and Marc Marquez (Gresini racing) will start on the 11th and 12th. Alexi Espargaro (Aprilia Racing) and Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing) will start 13th and 14th. Alex Rins (Yamaha MotoGP) and Jack Miller (Red Bull KTM factory racing) will start from 15th and 16th places. Luca Marini (Repsol Honda) and Takaaki Nakagaami (LCR Honda) will start from the 17th and 18th positions. 

Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) and Joan Mir (Repsol Honda) will start from the 19th and 20th places while Augusto Fernandez (Red Bull Gas Gas Tech3)  will start from the final spot of the grid at the 21st. The Indonesian GP will head to tomorrow’s Tissot sprint race and then to the main race in the evening.
