Four-time F1 world champion and Delhi Grand Prix winner Sebastian Vettel once said Indian roads are far more dangerous than Formula 1 tracks. The German driver was one of the all-time greatest drivers and has won 4 F1 titles in a row for Red Bull from 2010 to 2013.

Vettel had an outstanding career and is one of the arch-rivals of F1 great Lewis Hamilton. Sebastian debuted for BMW Sauber in 2007 and was signed by Torro Rosso (VCARB) in 2008. He won his first race at the 2008 Monza for the junior team even before Red Bull’s first-ever win in Formula 1. In 2009 he was promoted to Red Bull after David Coulthard’s retirement and then his career skyrocketed.

In 2009, Vettel lost the title to Jenson Button, but in 2010 he started his winning streak. He fought against giants like Michael Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso, Mark Webber, Kimi Raikkonen, Nico Rosberg and Jenson Button. But the four-time champion called Indian roads the most dangerous in the world during the Indian Grand Prix.

India hosted the Formula 1 Delhi GP for the first time from 2010 to 2013. The race happened at the Buddh International Circuit in Noida. However, due to the tax dispute between the  Government and the organisers, the Delhi Grand Prix was scrapped from the F1 calendar.

Vettel was the only driver to win a race in India, as he won all four seasons with Red Bull. One of the most iconic moments in F1 was Vettel doing Donuts after winning the championship in Delhi before the Indian fans. During that time he spoke with an Indian news reporter about the difficulties of driving a Formula 1 car and his passion for racing. At that time he was asked a difficult question but very easy for the Indians to answer.

The reporter asked a tricky question, on whether driving in the F1 circuit is difficult or on Indian roads. Sebastian Vettel's cheeky reply was driving on Indian roads is difficult than on an F1 circuit. He even credited Indian drivers as the world's best drivers as driving in these conditions requires exceptional talent and skills.
