The biggest news of Adrian Newey moving from Red Bull Racing to Aston Martin has surprised everyone as he is considered the greatest race car designer. Lawrence Stroll and his men banked Adrian Newey for 20 Million euros with additional Add-ons which could bring him 30 Million euros a year.

Choosing Aston Martin over Ferrari

Newey also considered moving to ferrari. He says that Ferrari was sure one of his considerations but he felt Lawrence Stroll was the last and only old-model Team owner like Frank williams, Ron dennis and Eddie jordan.

He also said he wanted to work with fernando alonso and lewis hamilton. But they are in different teams now. Lawrence Stroll offered adrian to be both Managing technical partner and shareholder which is not the case in Ferrari. This was the first time newey was offered a stake in a team. That could be the main reason for adrian to turn down Ferrari and move to Aston Martin.

Adrian Newey will join Aston Martin next year to work alongside Lawrence Stroll, Fernando Alonso, and Lance Stroll. He is also very confident in making the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One team a world championship-winning team.

Talking about bringing Adrina Newey to Aston Martin Lawrence stroll Says “Adrian is key, key, key, and the biggest part of the puzzle certainly from a technical point of view, from a technical leadership point of view.”

Lawrence Stroll was a businessman himself. He knows how to make the right deal. He knew Newey was interested in moving to Ferrari as the 7-time world champion Lewis Hamilton is heading there from Mercedes next year. So he threw everything he could to bring Adrian to Aston Martin. The veteran car designer has won 25 world championships with Williams, Red Bull, and McLaren.
