Hamilton about starting a family

The 39-year-old Formula 1 great is currently single and is living alone. He was asked about his plans once he retired from the sport and he said “One of my best friends has just had a kid and I'm seeing how maniac it is. And my nieces and nephew are a handful. There will be a time and a place for it, and I can't wait for that part. But right now I have some work to do.”

When asked about starting a family he responded “One day.” He also added, “I wouldn't be able to do what I do to the level that I do it today with that.” Hamilton never spoke about any relationship he has had in recent times. Lewis Hamilton will be racing for Ferrari from next year after a successful long year with Mercedes. He also spoke about the moment he told his boss Toto Wolff about leaving Mercedes. He was terrified to speak to him about signing a contract with Ferrari.

He said, “It's been a rollercoaster of emotions from the moment I signed the contract. Telling my boss was terrifying. But it is also exciting because I remember as a kid watching Michael. Every driver watches that car and you're like, What would it be like to sit in the red cockpit?.”

The 39-year-old says he is still in his prime form better than his younger days in 2007 and sharper than many of his fellow young drivers. Hamilton won 2 races this season despite Mercedes not having pace in their cars like before.
