1. 1985- Estoril (First race win)
The 1985 Portuguese Grand Prix was the legend’s first-ever race win in Formula 1. Senna took the pole position for the Lotus F1 team and from there, he won the race under extreme wet conditions. His biggest rival Alain Prost tried his best but couldn’t even touch Senna in qualifying.
2. 1991 Brazil (Breaking Home Curse)
Sao Paulo is the home city of Ayrton Senna and for many years even after winning F1 titles, he couldn't win his home Grand Prix. It has been eight years since Senna debuted in F1and finally the jinx was broken in the 1991 Brazilian GP. Senna was the fastest in qualifying but in the main race, he faced issues in his car.
He lost the fifth and third gears. He had to maintain the sixth gear in slow and medium corners. Because of this, he had severe muscle cramps and his body was done and dusted. He couldn't even lift the trophy after winning in his home. This was one of the greatest moments in Senna’s life.
3. 1993 - European Grand Prix (Greatest victory)
Senna started in fifth but on the opening lap he had a brilliant start and by the end of the lap he became the race leader. He beat the Williams drivers Damon Hill, Senna and Michael Schumacher. Ayrton Senna led the race and took victory in the Donington park under wet conditions.
4. 1988 - Japan (first world title)
Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna battled for the world championship. This was the peak year of their battle as two of the greatest F1 drivers battled for the ultimate title. Starting from pole, the opening lap was a disaster for Senna as he stalled on the track and moved to 14th. He recovered quickly with his amazing driving skills and on lap 14 weather helped Senna as the track became fully wet due to rain. The king of the rain again showed his masterclass by winning the race by more than 13 seconds lead and taking his first-ever world title.
5. Monte Carlo, Monaco (King of Monaco)
The Brazilian was called the King of Monaco because of his exceptional skills in the narrow street circuit. He won six races in Monaco which is the most by any racer. His precision driving and amazing handling ability gave him this title and the 1993 Monaco GP victory was one of the crowns in his jewel.
