The 2024 season was complete ups and downs for Lewis Hamilton, as he was completely outpaced by his teammate George Russell. The only few good things he can take from the season was his Silverstone and Spa victory, which came after two years. George Russell outqualified Lewis Hamilton 19-4 in the 2024 Formula 1 season. The young Brit also took 22 points more than Lewis by the end of the year. Now that the seven-time world champion moved to Ferrari for the 2025 season, he was given a stern warning by his former teammate.
Warning to Lewis Hamilton
Nico Rosberg, Hamilton’s former rival and teammate, warns him about the dangers inside the Ferrari team. Lewis will be the new teammate of Charles Leclerc, who was a consistent performer for Ferrari. He also has a reputation for dominating his teammates like Marcus Erikson, Sebastian Vettel, and Carlos Sainz.
The Monegasque driver is on the same level as George Russell, so surviving in Ferrari for the initial stages will be tough for Lewis. But Rosberg backed Hamilton to come slightly ahead of Leclerc by the end of the season. Rosberg says, “Because Charles will be on a similar level to George Russell, which is kind of the best of the next generation level, except for Verstappen, who was a little higher again, and Lewis is just struggling at the moment, and we don't really know why.

So if it's as of today, then Charles will beat him in the same way as George Russell is beating him—but Lewis is the greatest of all time. We still give him the benefit of the doubt that he can be back to his usual best, and then he should be slightly ahead of Charles at the end of the year.”
Lewis Hamilton has also had a reputation for dominating his teammates, starting with Fernando Alonso, Jenson Button, Heikki Kovalainen, Nico Rosberg, Valtteri Bottas, and George Russell. But last year for the first time since 2016, he lost his lead to his teammate George by 22 points.
