Formula One’s oldest team, Ferrari, narrowly missed their constructor championship title to McLaren this year. The Italian team is just one step away from Triumph, and most predict it could happen next year after waiting for over a decade. The reason is their signing of Lewis Hamilton early this year, and the 7-time world champion will bring all his championship-winning knowledge and help the team achieve the long-awaited Triumph in Formula 1. The Maranello team last time won a Formula 1 title in 2007, with Kimi Raikkonen winning his only world title.

The iconic 'Old Horse' started running

After many long years, Ferrari showed promising speed in the straight lines and pace in the corners. The Italians have lost their time mainly in corners in the past, but this year they were very fast in corners and only behind McLaren. Next year they could close the gap and become the fastest team on the track.

Ferrari went from being the third-fastest team on the grid at the start of the year to beating Red Bull and finishing number 2 by the season's end. The Maranello team pushed their limits and tested their drivers to their maximum and achieved this kind of success. They also dominated the last few races and came very close to winning the constructor's title but missed it by just 14 points.

Carlos-Charles Duo on Fire

After many years, Ferrari drivers were on fire from the start of the season. They consistently performed well by winning races, scoring points, and finishing on the podium. This gave the team the upper hand over Red Bull and an opportunity to challenge McLaren for the title. Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc, having incredible talent and amazing driving skills, brought 652 points to the Maranello team. They finished 22 times on the podium, had 5 race wins, and scored more points than Red Bull duo Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez.

What should be improved next year?

The team is already consistent, but it needs improvement in its strategy choices and track calls. They are always confused with their decisions, which puts their drivers at risk of losing points. Tracks like Singapore, Monza, Azerbaijan, and China are always Ferrari’s strongest tracks where they have historical records of winning more races. They should try to maximise their points on these tracks and try to win every race in those conditions.

2025’s Most Powerful Team

Ferrari signed Lewis Hamilton to race for them over a multi-year contract. It also makes them the strongest team in 2025. Hamilton and Leclerc are the strongest driver pair and also the most consistent drivers. Next year they have a big chance of winning both the drivers and constructors championships and could end their near two-decade championship drought.
