Formula 1 drivers nowadays like to have a private life and don't like the media always chasing them wherever they go. World champions like Lewis Hamilton and Max verstappen live a reserved life keeping their on-track and off-track life aside and do not like to expose themselves in front of cameras.
Formula one Playboy
There was a Formula 1 world champion who treated the Media and Magazines with all kinds of feasts by living a playboy lifestyle during his prime time. If you have ever seen the Hollywood Movie 'Rush’, you would know who I am talking about. One of the legendary drivers in Formula 1, who defeated the great Niki Lauda during his prime and won the 1976 Formula 1 world title, James Hunt, is the F1 driver who we are talking about. The British racing driver was at his peak during the 1970s and was the biggest rival to the F1 legend Nikki Lauda.

A Womanizer
He was the sex symbol and the male crush of many European women at that time. It is said that he had slept with more than 5000 women, took cocaine, and always partied with girls during his height of life. Hunt is rumoured to have slept with 35 Air hostesses during his title-winning season.

Tragic End
He is also notorious on track always mocking other drivers and getting into their heads. He had all the talent to win the F1 title. He is the biggest rival, but Hunt is also one of his closest friends Nikki Lauda had in his career. He stood by him when he had that horrific life-changing fire accident at the Nurburgring. His life ended tragically at the age of 45 when he died of a heart attack.

His Son's Statement
Freddie Hunt the son of James Hunt spoke about his father and said, “I can't vouch for the number of women but I know that Dad is not a junkie. He just liked getting loose at parties. He took coke, but he wasnt a cokehead. We do behave quite similarly. Then again, my mum was pretty naughty too. There were witnesses. There was a fresh supply of hostesses. They would come to the hotel, stopover, and then get on the plane the next day. There was a different one every night.” He was a larger-than-life icon during that time.
Hunt was married thrice and the marriage didn’t last longer. In 1993, he proposed to a waitress called Helen Dyson who was 18 years his junior but the next day he died tragically due to a heart attack. He won only one world championship but became an icon due to his popularity in the media.
