F1 2025 Miami Grand Prix Race Results: Oscar Piastri gives hatrick win to McLaren at Miami
Oscar Piastri has won the 2025 Miami Grand prix for the first time in his career, and he extends his championship lead, beating both Norris and Verstappen in Miami.

The 2025 Miami Grand Prix is over with the Australian driver Oscar Piastri winning the race ahead of his teammate Lando Norris and George Russell. Oscar overtook Verstappen and became the race leader. He kept his pole position until the end of the race. The first lap of the race was a disaster and confusion for Lando Norris as he lost position to Kimi Antonelli and teammate Oscar Piastri when trying to overtake Max Verstappen from the outside. Not only him, Jack Doohan faced a tyre puncture after crashing with Liam Lawson, damaging his floor. The Virtual Safety car was called, and at the end of the VSC, Oscar Piastri got past Kimi Antonelli and moved to second.
McLaren vs Max Battle
By the end of lap 10, Oscar Piastri neared Max verstappen and was just behind him. The two great drivers started battling each other for the pole position. Oscar Piastri finally overtook Max on lap 14. But the nightmare is not over for Max as the next attack came from Lando Norris, who also frustrated the Dutch driver with his fake bombs. Vertsappen is pushed to P4 behind Russell, who cut him in the pit stop.
Battle of the Ferraris
The two Ferrari drivers, for the first time, battled each other. Hamilton was given the medium tyres and Leclerc drove on hards. After overtaking Sainz, the two started the battle, which cooked Hamilton’s mediums. The two drivers were asked to swap positions as Hamilton felt he had an advantage over Antonelli. They again swapped in lap 53 as Hamilton gave back the position to Leclerc.

After all the hard work and overtaking masterclass, Oscar Piastri has now won the 2025 F1 Miami Grand Prix. McLaren also won the race 1-2, which now puts them in a big lead in the constructors' title. Piastri is also leading the Drivers' championship battle against Lando Norris and Max Verstappen. Russell is now inching closer to beating Max.

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen fought hard against the two McLaren’s Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. The Australian and the british racing drivers did a wonderful job putting the Dutchman under pressure and overtaking him to move to P1 and P2.
Overtake battles: The first lap was completely thrilling with Lando Norris diving on the outside of Max Verstappen to overtake him, but he lost position. By the end of lap 10, Oscar Piastri started attacking Max Verstappen, and the two drivers battled for almost four laps. Finally, Max concedes the lead on lap 14.
Lando Norris also had an intense battle against Verstappen and clinched P2. Ferrari drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc had a battle with Williams driver Carlos sainz, which was followed by an intra-team battle between the two Ferrari drivers.
Pit stop strategy: Every team followed a single-stop pit strategy. Formula 1 Teams used Medium and Hard tyres. The Miami track is best for overtaking, particularly in sectors 2 and 3, where there is a long straight.
Crashes, Penalties or retirements: Yuki Tsunoda got a 5-second penalty for overspeeding inside the pit lane. Jack Doohan crashed with Liam Lawson and damaged his tyres; both were out of the race. Bearman and Bortoleto had an engine issue and retired.
Weather impact: Conditions are ideal for racing, which is not too hot/ cold. Rain is anticipated in the middle of the race.
