The VCARB CEO Peter Bayer has made a new revelation about the incidents that happened before Daniel Ricciardos's F1 sacking. The Australian driver was one of the most loved sports personalities and Red Bull sacking him mid-season became very controversial and many slammed the team for handling the situation badly.
The team boss has now revealed the incidents that happened between Ricciardo and the Red Bull team. He said Daniel Ricciardo and the team management had a meeting early morning at 2 AM regarding the sacking. Even before the Singapore Grand Prix, rumours were swirling around about the possible sacking of Daniel Ricciardo by Red Bull after the weekend.
But nothing was announced officially by either Daniel or the Red Bull. Only after some days, Liam Lawson was announced as the replacement driver for Ricciardo. Fans were fuming at the Red Bull management for sacking Ricciardo. But the team principal says the way it went was all Daniel’s wish.

The CEO said, “We had agreed with Daniel that we would not communicate it. We knew that we would look a bit outdated as a team. But we also did it to protect the driver. It was his wish. He believed right to the end that he would finish at the front in qualifying and show everyone.”
Bayer says he never saw anyone in his entire career with that much mental strength like Daniel Ricciardo. He added, “I've never seen such mental strength in an athlete. And I've been in a lot of sports. It was a terrible moment when he exited in Q1. You could already hear on the radio that his world had collapsed.”
After Qualifying, the team spoke with Daniel Ricciardo at 2 AM and asked his permission to announce his replacement driver. But Daniel was very emotional and wanted no nonsense until the end of the Singapore GP and he wanted to complete the race first.
He also felt sacking of Daniel Ricciardo midway was very hard but they put the team first before the driver. The team also wanted to celebrate his legacy in Abu Dhabi just like Kimi Raikkonen’s. Many fans tore the Red Bull team apart for ending Ricciardo’s journey mid-season without any proper farewell.
Even his former teammate and World champion Max Verstappen felt it was a shame for Red Bull to give Daniel Ricciardo that kind of exit from Formula 1. But before going Daniel Gave Max one valuable point which is very handy to fight for the world championship.
