Azerbaijan GP 2024 Schedule
The action begins on September 13, with two practice sessions. Practice 1 will kick off the weekend’s activities from 15:00 to 16:00, allowing drivers to familiarize themselves with the circuit. Later that evening, Practice 2 will run from 18:30 to 19:30, giving teams the chance to fine-tune their cars under cooler conditions.
Saturday, September 14, will start with Practice 3 from 14:00 to 15:00, the final opportunity for teams to perfect their setups before the competitive sessions. Following this, Qualifying takes place from 17:30 to 18:30, determining the starting grid for Sunday’s race.
The main event, the Azerbaijan GP, will be held on September 15, with the lights going out at 16:30. Given the nature of the circuit, with its tight corners and long straights, the race promises an exciting mix of strategy, overtaking, and potential surprises.

The Baku Street Circuit is one of the longest tracks on the F1 calendar, stretching 6.003 kilometres. Its iconic features include the tight castle section and the long main straight, where drivers used to reach speeds over 360 km/h before 2016. With 51 laps covering a total race distance of 306.049 kilometres, the Azerbaijan GP is known for producing unpredictable outcomes, with safety cars frequently playing a pivotal role.
Notably, only Sergio Perez has been able to register multiple victories at this iconic street circuit. It first held a race in 2016 known as European Grand Prix before being termed as Azerbaijan Grand Prix in 2017. Red Bull are most successful team with four wins.
