In his farewell tour, John Cena turned heel for the first time in over 20 years. Cena sold his soul to The Rock and attacked Cody Rhodes after winning the Elimination Chamber. The Final Boss and Cena together make one of the deadliest villains in the history of WWE. It will take a mammoth task to bring down the heavy power of two of the company's biggest stars.

With The Rock at the helm of the things amongst the directors of TKO, Cena will have all the power in the world to achieve what he wants to. At the same time, he must obey the orders of the Final Boss and do everything to his opponents. Some of the biggest babyfaces and the stars of the company might be required to take on Cena and the Final Boss.
Cody Rhodes will be the first wrestler to challenge Cena. The American Nightmare will defend his Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania against the Leader of the Cenation Army. As of now, Cody is all alone against the duo of Cena and The Rock in his war. Without outside interference, he is likely to lose his world title at WrestleMania.
If Stone Cold Steve Austin, Roman Reigns, or some major name comes to Cody's help, there could be a chance of Rhodes defending his title. Otherwise, John will surely win his record 17th world title. If John becomes the world champion at WrestleMania, he might defend his title at least thrice before Summerslam, in PLEs like Backlash, Money in the Bank, and on Raw, Smackdown, SNME, or another PLE.
In these instances, he might face the likes of Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and Randy Orton, all of whom would try to put sense into his mind and take the title away from him. The first of them could be Punk, who lost his chance to headline WrestleMania due to Cena's shortcut at the Elimination Chamber. Punk promised to see Cena down the road.
Roles of Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and others in John Cena's heel turn
If Cena wins at Mania, he is unlikely to lose his title till Summerslam and potentially beyond it. Hence, everyone facing Cena till Summerslam is likely to lose. At the Money in the Bank, Cena could face Orton and defend his title. It could prove to be the best match of the Cena vs Orton rivalry. Randy might also feature in the later part of Cena's farewell tour.
There is a good chance of Cena facing an emerging star like Jey Uso on SNME or other episodes. There is also a case for him facing other stars like AJ Styles, Rey Mysterio, and Seth Rollins. He might defend his title against all of them before Summerslam. A key moment might take place in two nights of Summerslam.
Cena could face Roman Reigns at Summerslam. While the outcome of the match is difficult to predict unless the context and the scenarios at the time of the feud, it could lead to a slight change in Cena's character. He might slowly start to realize his heel turn might not be worthy enough. There could also be a case for Roman and Cidy having a tag team match with Cena and The People's Champ.
Cena is likely to be the Babyface by the second half of the year. It might be necessary for him to face The Rock in a major PLE like Survivor Series or a standalone PLE, which could be named 'Ruthless Aggression' to honor Cena. However, in such a match, Cena would be the face, while The Rock would be the heel.
