WWE Raw and Smackdown are set to have extended run time during the Netflix era. The red brand had a reduction in an hour as the USA Network took over the broadcasting duties. However, the Netflix era will give more run time for the red brand which will resort to a 3-hour show. Smackdown will also have a 3-hour show.
As soon as Raw was reduced to two hours, fans complained about the lack of screen time many wrestlers have gotten since then. Many stars and the top factions of the company like Lyra Valkyria, Alpha Academy, Pure Fusion Collective, Zelina Vega, Pete Dunne, and others have not been getting chances to show their talent often.
Some of segments had to cut down due to the lack of time. Fans felt it was highly unfair on the part of the wrestlers who possessed a lot of talent but he could not get enough time to prove themselves. Things could change in the Netflix era for good.
Need for an increase in WWE Smackdown's run time
Similarly, Smackdown has a lot of amazingly talented wrestlers who can do wonders if provided with enough screen time. Many have not been featured on shows regularly like Blair Davenport, Alba Fyre, Isla Dawn, Apollo Crews, Giovanni Vinci, and so on. They definitely can benefit with the extended run time.
The Bloodline Civil War story itself has a lot to offer to the table. Currently, apart from Solo Sikoa and Roman Reigns, others do not get enough time to address the fans through the mic. As a faction, a lot can be explored from the Bloodline. Their members are unique in nature and can entertain the fans in their own way.
Hence, increasing the run time of the blue brand seems essential. Fans are happy with the reports claiming the extension of the run time. It could help the company to build more stars. While Raw is set to have a Premiere of a 3-hour show, Smackdown will have an extended run time a few weeks after it.
