WWE NXT's Great American Bash will take place over the next two weeks on Syfy, and the first week's lineup was announced today, featuring many significant matchups. Week one would include three Championship battles and a special concert by TNA (and now NXT) favorite Joe Hendry, which Gallus was not enthused about. The NXT Women's Championship bout between Roxanne Perez and Thea Hail was originally set for this week, but everything was officially announced today.

Then, on top of any other significant surprises that may be included in the program, WWE confirmed two additional Title throwdowns: a bout for the NXT Heritage Cup and a massive WWE Women's Tag Team Titles showdown.

Gaining the victory was the top priority for Meta-Four's squad, which consisted of Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson, as they faced off against Sol Ruca and Karmen Petrovic. Even though Meta-Four has been a powerful group in NXT, Jakarta and Legend haven't won in a long time as a tag team.

Following the victory, Legend would take the stage and bring out two former NXT titans, Alba Fyre, and Isla Dawn, better known as The Unholy Union. Legend and Jackson's previous opponents in NXT, Dawn and Fyre, went on to win the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships at Clash at the Castle. Legend and Jackson challenged Fyre and Dawn to bring the Women's Tag Team Championships to NXT and defend against them since they can be defended across all brands. The Champs quickly approved the match on social media, making it official.

Fyre and Dawn to defend thier title

The WWE Women's Tag Team Championships will be defended by Fyre and Dawn, with their permission, on the first night of the "NXT" Great American Bash on SyFy next Tuesday. In their first title defence as the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, Unholy Union will create history. Before being merged with the main roster of women's tag belts in a match won by Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey in June 2023, the two had previously held the "NXT" Women's Tag Team Championships.
