WWE has confirmed a total of six matches for SummerSlam 2025 through their social media posts and official title card announcements. By the end of the July 14, 2025, episode of WWE Raw, the matches were confirmed by the official handle, four of which are for the world title, another for a mid-card title, with a non-title match.

Most of these matches were confirmed on WWE Raw following some of the qualification matches and segments. The night started with Naomi addressing the fans after becoming a world champion for the third time following a successful cash-in on Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley. Iyo and Rhea confronted Naomi for a shot at the world title, and Adam Pearce announced their match for the world title at SummerSlam.

What followed was a 2 out of 3 falls match between Lyra Valkyria and Bayley to determine the Number 1 Contender for Becky Lynch's Women's IC Title. While Bayley claimed the first fall, Lyra came back strongly to score the last two pinfalls to win the match and earned a shot for Becky's IC title at SummerSlam.

In the Main Event of the night, a Gauntlet match of 5 wrestlers took place to determine Gunther's challenger for the world title at SummerSlam. Bron Breakker pinned all of Penta, LA Knight, and Jey Uso before running out of gas against CM Punk. Despite interference from many, Punk won the match and earned a shot at Gunther's world title at SummerSlam.

Likewise, the King and Queen of the Ring, Cody Rhodes and Jade Cargill, earned their shot at the world title at SummerSlam. While Cody Rhodes' match against John Cena was confirmed many days ago, Jade Cargill's match against Tiffany Stratton was confirmed during WWE Raw.

A couple of segments on WWE SmackDown and Saturday Night's Main Event between Randy Orton and Jelly Roll against Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul ensured their feud at SummerSlam, which was confirmed after the match between Drew and Randy on SNME, which will not be for any title. Randy and Roll will appear on a special podcast to promote their match.
