Cody Rhodes has risen to prominence in the wrestling profession during the last year. The American Nightmare has been on a roller coaster journey since he defeated Roman Reigns in back-to-back Royal Rumbles to become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

Cody Rhodes is presently drafted to Friday Night Smackdown and has recently returned from a tremendous win against Logan Paul in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. However, Randy Orton, the King of the Ring, now maintains the right to confront Rhodes for the championship at Summerslam 2024.

Before any fresh updates, Rhodes is scheduled to appear on Friday Night Smackdown on May 31st. However, before his entrance, the American Nightmare went to X to deliver an intriguing message to the WWE Universe. Rhodes hinted at his final match in the squared circle, leaving the world buzzing.

In a post, Rhodes wrote, “Never know when it might be your last match. Always revel in those moments. #Smackdown” Just days after winning the WWE King And Queen Of The Ring 2024 premium live event at the Jeddah Super Dome in Saudi Arabia, he successfully defended his WWE Universal Championship against Logan Paul.

Cody Rhodes might face a competitor for the forthcoming Clash at the Castle 2024 and Money in the Bank 2024 PLEs very soon. Rhodes is the current undisputed WWE Champion. Rhodes revealed his June schedule earlier this week, indicating that he may still have a few matches left in him at this point.

Cody Rhodes set to retire ?

A new video featuring the WWE Universal Champion was also posted by WWE on X on Friday. In it, Luke Littler was seen receiving a surprise message from Rhodes during the darts prodigy's visit to WWE Headquarters before to the PDC Darts' US Darts Masters at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

It's doubtful that the current champion, who ended Roman Reigns' 1,316-day reign in the main event of WrestleMania 40 Night 2, is hinting at his future retirement, even though the meaning of the ambiguous tweet is still completely unknown. Some fans interpreted the message as a reference to AJ Styles, who Rhodes beat at Backlash France in April. Styles has hinted that he may run for the title again as he gets ready to call it a day.
