Cody Rhodes signs revised contract with Logan Paul, US title not on line

Cody Rhodes will now be just defending his title against Logan Paul in the King of the Ring 2024. The latest contract signed by the American Nightmare is just for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Last week on Smackdown, Aldis revealed that Paul would be the next opponent of Cody in the PLE. However, Paul got the contract changed with his lawyer on the blue brand.

The initial contract was supposed to be a title vs title match as discussed by Nick Aldis and Paul backstage. However, Paul claimed that he never agreed to it and tore the contract of the title vs title match. The social media Superstar regarded Cody to be undeserving of a title shot at Paul. Aldis was angry at the offer of Logan and was about to address the issue.

That was when Cody promptly took to himself and asked Aldis to let him handle the issue. The World Champion agreed to face Paul in the King of the Ring and defend the title against Logan in Jeddah. He signed the contract saying that Paul would learn it the best way possible. In Saudi Arabia, only Cody's title will be on the line.

Earlier in the night, Cody entered the arena to cheers from the fans. Paul got his YouTube and Brand friends from Prime with a lawyer on his side. The World Champion remembered the War Games 1992 which he regarded to be the greatest match in the history of the Survivor Games. Cody claimed that Logan would not be aware of it as he is not a fan of WWE.

Logan straightly came to the point and said that Cody did not deserve to be the world champion. As Rhodes signed the contract, he attacked Logan and his co. A clear message was sent to the US Champion ahead of the King of the Ring Tournament. The match is likely to be the main event in Jeddah. Paul has not defended his title since WrestleMania XL.
