Why were Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley removed from Judgement Day?

Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley were collectively removed from Judgement Day by Finn Balor, Dirty Dom, and JD McDonagh. There is a reason behind Damian and Mami being removed from the faction. The duo have become way too big Superstars to still stay in the faction. They can individually bring the audience to shows with their presence.

Ever since Damian Priest became the world champion at WrestleMania, there has been a tease of his face turn. It eventually happened when Gunther called him a 'Street Trash'. After becoming the world champion, Damian tried to prove himself as a worthy champion trying to defend all his attempts as a world champion on his own might.

He always maintained the fact that he didn't need the help of Dirty Dom, Finn, or JD to retain his title. It did not go well with the members of the faction who thought Damian was acting as the leader of the group. Balor claimed it to be the reason behind his backstabbing Priest to help Gunther win the world title at SummerSlam. 

Jey Uso's involvement in the story

Additionally, Mami was already a big star in the women's division. Her story with Liv Morgan and Dirty Dom was a huge draw. There was no way Mami could still be on the same team as of Dom and Liv. Hence, everything led to Damian and Mami being thrown out of the faction. The implosion of the Judgement Day will lead to a new story.

Jey Uso will come into the picture and will try to gain the heart of Mami. In the last few weeks, he has maintained a good relationship with Damian as well. For the next few months, Jey will fight Judgement Day before he gets a Smackdown callup from Roman. Both Priest and Rhea were declared face and hence had to leave a heel faction like the Judgement Day.
