Why Paul Heyman turned against Roman Reigns and CM Punk at WrestleMania 41? (Source: X)
Paul Heyman betrayed both Roman Reigns and CM Punk at WrestleMania 41. In the Main Event of Night 1, the Wiseman delivered a low blow to his Tribal Chief, Roman, and best friend, Punk, to align with Seth Rollins. As both Roman and Punk used Heyman for their benefit, Heyman decided not to choose either of them in Las Vegas.
The popular WWE manager might have a justified reason to turn against both Roman and Punk. At Summerslam 2020, Roman officially turned heel by attacking Bray Wyatt. At Payback, he officially teamed up with Heyman and made him his Wiseman. It is worth noting that Roman was not received well as the Big Dog till that point.

On the other hand, Heyman was already a successful manager, as he helped Brock Lesnar to be the top guy of the company for over half a decade. Hence, Roman needed Heyman more, not the other way around. Yet, when Punk cashed in his favor, the OTC claimed Heyman would be nothing without him.
Why did Paul Heyman betray CM Punk and Roman Reigns?
It showed Roman's lack of acknowledgement of what Heyman did for his career. Seth Rollins explained the same on WWE Raw last week. Similarly, the Visionary also explained how Punk did not care for him either and used him only for his benefit. It all started on WWE SmackDown in Chicago in 2024 when Heyman was taken out by the Bloodline 2.0.
Despite being on the show, Punk could not stop his best friend, Heyman, from getting attacked. Neither did Roman come to his help in the tough times. Seth explained that Punk agreed to help the Bloodline at the Survivor Series War Games to personally benefit from it.
If one could track these events, Heyman was only used by Roman and Punk for their benefit. In return, he did not get anything apart from dealing with their toxicity. Whenever he was on Roman's side, the Wiseman suffered bullying. With Punk, the Wiseman's friendship only ceased to exist.
