The Rock is unlikely to work in WrestleMania 41 due to a major reason. The re-shoot of his Hollywood movie 'Moana' is scheduled to take place somewhere around WrestleMania. Due to a lack of time to prepare for the match and the focus likely to be around his movie, The Final Boss is likely to opt out of WrestleMania.
The People's Champ showed up on WWE Raw on Netflix and strangely had a positive conversation with Cody Rhodes. The Final Boss gave Cody his flowers for carrying the company on his back in the last year or so. He also regarded Roman Reigns as the Tribal Chief and crowned him with Ula Fala on Netflix.
The Rock apparently ended his enmity with Cody by sharing a beer. It confused the fans about his motive, especially after the cryptic message he had for Cody and Roman at Bad Blood. As per the reports, the plans for him featuring at WrestleMania was well on truly alive around October and early November.
How Moana's re-shoot affects The Rock's WrestleMania 41 schedule?
When one of the fans asked about him not performing at Mania, The Rock nullified the claims and asked the fans to not believe in any such BS. However, the call for the re-shoot of Moana probably happened post that. Hence, Dwayne Johnson might need to spend his time with the movie.
The re-shoot of Moana is likely to take place around April or May. While The Rock could definitely work for his promos and appearances, it is very difficult for him to wrestle at Mania without being at his fittest version. It is evident that the time is less for him to prepare.
When The Final Boss revealed the training he had to undergo to be in shape for WrestleMania XL, it was evident that a lot of work went into him delivering the goods as an in-ring performer. This time around, he will have nearly no time to prepare to wrestle and is hence unlikely to be in action at WrestleMania.
