Why Drew McIntyre faced and beat Finn Balor on main event of Monday Night Raw?

Drew McIntyre took on Finn Balor in the main event of the latest episode of Raw. Not many would have expected it to happen. Drew pinned Balor to claim a win and will now got a title shot at Damian Priest without the interference of the Judgement Day. There was a need for this match as a lot of dots got connected by it. A lot of it has to do with the Judgement Day.

First things first, it has been a while since Balor got any attention as a solo wrestler. In the main event match, he gave his best performance in a while, thereby proving he can still be banked as a solo wrestler. His loss meant that Priest will be defending his title without the help of the rest of the members of the Judgement Day. 

If Finn, Carlito, Dominik Mysterio, and JD McDonagh would still want to help Priest, it would fuel the process of implosion of the faction. By allowing Damian to wrestler Drew without any help, it could also help the Archer of finamy to establish himself as a good solo performer. It will further fuel his process of becoming a baby face in the days to come. 

Will CM Punk cost Drew or the Scottish Warrior win at home in Clash at the Castle?

The match also helped Drew to get back on track following his injury. The match turned out to be brilliant and the Scottish Warrior showed that he could wrestle well at the Clash at the Castle. At this point, it is almost obvious that CM Punk could interfere in the match. He has been out of action for a while and has an eye on McIntyre.

In Glasgow, it will be an interesting scenario. With Judgement Day being out of the ringside scenario, there will be a bit of unpredictability in the result of the match. Punk might or not cost McIntyre the title. Fans would be in doubt, as there is a thought of Drew winning, given it is his home town arena. But Punk could also cost him the title, leading to the feud between him and Drew.
