Amar Kaushik's much-anticipated sequel, Stree 2, has introduced a new and terrifying villain that is captivating audiences: Sarkata. This giant ghost with a detachable head preys on the progressive women of Chanderi, adding a fresh layer of horror to the film's comedic elements.

Sarkata is primarily a CGI creation, but the character's physical presence on screen is brought to life by Sunil Kumar, an imposing figure with a unique background. Sunil Kumar, who hails from Jammu, is not just an actor but also a professional wrestler and a police constable.

Standing at a staggering 7 feet 6 inches, Sunil's height surpasses even that of The Great Khali, the famous WWE wrestler from Punjab. This extraordinary stature has earned him the nickname "The Great Khali of Jammu."

His wrestling persona, known as "The Great Angaar," further highlights his aspirations to represent India on a global stage, particularly in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) arena. In 2019, Sunil participated in a WWE Tryout, showcasing his ambition to make it big in the wrestling world.

How did Sunil land in the Horror Comedy Universe?

Amar Kaushik, in an interview, shared insights into Sunil's casting as Sarkata. He revealed that the casting team was specifically looking for someone with Sunil's exceptional height to portray the character. While the character's head was created using CGI, Sunil's body and physical presence were essential to bringing Sarkata to life on screen.

Stree 2, which stars Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, hit theatres on August 15, clashing with two other releases, Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa.
