In 2020 when COVID-19 hit the world all events in sports were stopped. As the lockdown was imposed athletes couldn’t travel the world and fans were restricted from attending the event. Ahead of Olympics 2020 WWE posted a commercial feature Late Superstar Eddie Guerrero. The commercial was shot in 2004.

The ad spoofs the track events in the Olympics and features Eddie Guerrero deftly defeating his competitors with strategic blocking. The fact that SummerSlam 2021 is quickly approaching is another factor making this commercial suitable for the present. This ad was filmed by WWE for SummerSlam 2004.

Interestingly, at that period, WWE produced numerous amusing ads. Even Brock Lesnar used to appear in these advertisements. In truth, WWE filmed more than just Eddie Guerrero's track ad. Batista appeared in a Floor Gymnastics ad, Triple H in Hammer Throw, Torrie Wilson in Diving, and Booker T in Fencing, among others.

The Late Superstar was a man of immense skill. He understood how to work portions that would sell. He not only had excellent microphone abilities, but he also had an intoxicating charm. This allowed him to connect with the audience and execute each section and promotion flawlessly.

Eddie Guerrero died due to sudden failure of heart

Even when he had to record a promo with his real-life close buddy, Rey Mysterio, as rivals, he played the part perfectly. The entire plot hinged around Guerrero claiming to be Dominik Mysterio's father, but Rey refused to let Eddie Guerrero approach Dominik.

Even when little Dominik was there, Eddie Guerrero made an effort to stay loyal to his role and sell the narrative to the audience as effectively as possible. Guerrero died on November 13, 2005. His younger brother discovered him asleep in a Minneapolis, Minnesota hotel room. He quickly contacted the medical team, but it was too late. According to reports, Eddie Guerrero died due to sudden heart failure.
